Supporting Recovery in the Sheboygan Community
The Abode provides a safe environment, staffing, and meals while residents are in recovery. We assistant residents with budgeting, life and coping skills, and employment searches. Help us continue to support recovery in the Sheboygan community.
Our HistoryAt the imminent close of the Sheboygan County (Psychiatric) Hospital around 1960,
Leona Lohr gathered other civic-minded Sheboyganites and founded incorporated The Sheboygan County Half-Way House in 1967. The first residents came to The Abode at 503 Ontario Avenue in February 1968. We are proud to say we have stayed true to our founders’ vision for the past 59 years.
Our Services
